As mentioned before, the BEST way to re-charge the (Casio) solar watch is by direct, bright sunlight, (but make sure that the watch doesn't get over-heated while in the sun).

Check youtube for "g-shock AC reset". There might be a video for your exact model. If not, the principle is similar in all models which require it - you need to make a short between the battery and a specific point in the watch, tagged "AC" for a second and then you should have the watch running.
